Agency Support Worker (Learning Disabilities & Autism) Location: Shirley, Southampton Contract: Zero Hours (Agency) Shifts Available: Days & Nights Pay: £13.50 – £20.04 per hour Pay Frequency: Weekly About the Role Staff 2000 Recruitment is seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our agency team, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism in residential and supported living services in the Shirley, Southampton area. Key Responsibilities Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism. Promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion. Assist with personal care where required. Support individuals with daily living activities, meal preparation, and household tasks. Administer or assist with medication in accordance with policies and training. Recognise and respond appropriately to epilepsy-related incidents. Build positive relationships with service users, families, and healthcare professionals. Complete accurate care records and handovers. Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain the highest standards of care at all times. Essential Requirements Applicants must have: A minimum of 6 months’ experience working as a Support Worker. Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Autism. A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service is desirable). Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training – Tier 1 and Tier 2. Epilepsy Awareness training. Medication Awareness training. Two satisfactory professional references. The right to work in the UK.
