Agency Care Assistant Location: Bournemouth, Dorset Contract: Zero Hours (Agency) Shifts Available: Days & Nights Pay: £12.71 – £14.24 per hour Pay Frequency: Weekly About the Role Staff 2000 Recruitment is looking for experienced and compassionate Care Assistants to join our growing agency team. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of healthcare settings throughout Bournemouth, including: Nursing Homes Residential Care Homes Learning Disability (LD) and Autism Services Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centres This flexible agency role allows you to choose shifts that fit around your availability while gaining experience in a range of care environments. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents and service users. Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility. Support individuals with eating, drinking and nutrition where required. Promote dignity, independence and choice at all times. Observe and report changes in health or behaviour to senior staff. Complete accurate care documentation and handovers. Provide emotional support and companionship. Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain professional standards of care. Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while adapting to different care settings. Essential Requirements Applicants must have: A minimum of 6 months’ paid experience as a Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant. Experience working within nursing homes, residential care, learning disability services, autism services, or brain injury settings. A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (Update Service preferred). Two satisfactory professional references. The right to work in the UK. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A caring, reliable and professional approach to supporting vulnerable adults. Flexibility to work day and/or night shifts.
