Overview
As an Agency Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults in a variety of settings across the Chichester and Portsmouth areas. You will support individuals with daily living, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and short-notice assignments depending on client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care & Support

Assist with washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, and continence care

Support clients with mobility, including transfers and use of mobility aids

Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans and training
Daily Living Assistance

Support with meal preparation, hydration, and feeding where required

Help with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping

Provide companionship, emotional support, and social engagement
Professional Care Standards

Follow individual care plans and risk assessments

Record and report care notes accurately and promptly

Communicate effectively with clients, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals

Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding responsibilities
Teamwork & Flexibility

Adapt to different care environments (residential homes, supported living, private homes, etc.)

Work independently or as part of a team

Be reliable, punctual, and prepared for short-notice shift assignments
Essential Requirements
-
Previous experience in care (professional or voluntary) – 6 months

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Compassionate, patient, and reliable

Ability to work flexible hours

Right to work in the UK
Compliance Requirements

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)

Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g., Moving & Handling, Safeguarding, First Aid)

Proof of identity and work eligibility

Two professional references
Desirable Qualifications

NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care

Experience with dementia, learning disabilities, or complex needs

Driving licence and access to a vehicle
